Nightwave is a Glasgow based DJ and producer, providing heat with her signature blend of acid, Chicago House, Detroit Techno and electro.
Born in Slovenia but firmly adopted by Glasgow, Maya has been a DJ staple of the city’s electronic scene for well over a decade, holding down her Nightrave events in La Cheetah Club for almost as long, where she’s booked and played alongside the likes of DJ Stingray, LONE, Laurel Halo, Lauren Flax and many more. Known internationally, she continues to be booked to play across the globe but a recent highlight was warming up for hero Jeff Mills at La Cheetah’s 15th birthday at SWG3 at the tail end of 2024.
As a producer, Nightwave continually reinvents her sound and explores influences rooted in Detroit techno, electro, acid, Chicago house and old rave nostalgia. She has released on labels such as Hotflush, Optimo Music, Fool’s Gold, UTTU, DABJ, Balkan Vinyl and her own Heka Trax imprint, while also remixing and providing vocals for a myriad of other artists.
