Radio Buena Vida is a music-led, not-for-profit community internet radio station, broadcasting across the globe from the window of local independent record shop – Some Great Reward – in Glasgow’s Govanhill neighbourhood in Scotland.

Founded in October 2020, RBV aims to encourage, promote and showcase DJ’s and selectors from every background, from enthusiastic beginners to established local, national and international players, spanning a wide range of music genres and providing a platform for under-represented voices.

FOR THE RADIO BUENA VIDA 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY
AT THE OLD HAIRDRESSERS & STEREO

We aim to encourage, support and promote show hosts from all backgrounds and experience levels. You do not have to be a professional DJ, just someone with a great music collection, passion and an original idea.

We are currently prioritising proposals for the following styles of shows:

  • Music genres outside of the house and techno fields
  • Themed shows with some discussion/a narrative around the music being played
  • Music which explores and represents artists, countries and cultures outwith the UK/Europe
  • Artists who create their own original music

We are particularly keen to support women, trans and non-binary people, POC and members of the LGBTQI+ community.

As an independent station we want to support independent artists and labels and are therefore not looking for show proposals for commercial mainstream pop/EDM.
