Bessa’s Music is a dive head first into a world of live instrumentation and Afro-beat rhythms.
The Scottish/Algerian artist has been producing and dj’ing for over a decade now with releases on imprints such as ‘Happiness Therapy’, Fatboy Slim’s imprint ‘Southernfried Records’, ‘Red Bull Music’, Glasgow’s ‘Huntleys & Palmers', London’s ‘Stay Cool’, ‘Paradise Palms’ and Bristols ‘Shall Not Fade’ to name a few, gaining support for his music from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova and various other tastemakers across BBC radio.
As a DJ his set’s are full of Afro, Arabic, and Latin club beats. Having supported a heavy range of artists from the likes of DJ Jazzy Jeff, Skepta, Genius Of Time and Shigeto, and having played various styles of club nights, he has a versatile style and a rich taste which comes out in his sets.
