Ancient Conversations is an exploration into the shifting relationship between sunlight and trees. Inspired by the Japanese word, Komorebi, the show seeks to evoke the shifting shadow patterns formed as light dances with leaves. From the bare branches of winter to the budding branches of spring, it considers the way these patterns shift seasonally and reflects the impact these transitions have on our own mood.
With roots in Japanese new age and forays into classical, soundtrack, ambient, and library sounds; host Laura Williams searches for music that reflects the shadow patterns of each season and the way these make us feel.
